It starts with God.
This bedrock reality is the predominant and transforming theme of all Scripture.
The opening of Genesis heralds this truth with four simple words: “In the beginning, God.” Perhaps this reality has been largely lost in our day—a loss that fuels much weariness and anxiety. For us, the loss of rootedness in this Reality and the resulting dis-ease are what we are noticing and longing to recover.
In 400 A.D., St. Augustine wrote in his Confessions:

The Grove is an opportunity to remember how to start with receiving. To reconnect with the Reality of God as the true center and source. It is a shared practice of creating space to let God simply and wholly love you. This happens through daily meditations and monthly gatherings designed to foster curiosity and restore our secure attachment to God as we walk together as Kingdom apprentices.
